PSYCHOTHERAPY / COUNSELING
My approach is rooted in positive psychology and a strengths- and growth-based model of treatment, which helps clients navigate and overcome their challenges, making meaning from their experiences that leads to growth, development, and leadership. Her approach is integrative, incorporating narrative exposure, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, spiritual, and justice-oriented methods, along with other therapeutic models suited to addressing the concerns raised during psychotherapy sessions.
I have experience treating individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and the psychological effects of migration, displacement, and cultural transitions. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with cultural sensitivity. Additionally, I assist those dealing with interpersonal challenges, such as mood disorders, marital conflict, domestic violence, stress management, childhood sexual abuse, and work-related issues. I specialize in helping individuals and families, particularly from diplomatic or international backgrounds, navigate life transitions, address racial and cultural issues, and cope with adjustment challenges related to divorce or separation.
I am also committed to advancing global mental health through research, training, and community-based initiatives. My goal is to connect global perspectives with local realities, ensuring that psychological care is effective and respectful of individuals' experiences. I aim to foster dialogue, inspire collaboration, and contribute to innovative approaches in psychotherapy and mental health care worldwide.
I value your time and resources, and I will help you identify your strengths, skills, and what is meaningful to you, while clarifying your therapy goals. Together, we will explore your core issues and work towards resolving them—whether that involves making necessary changes or finding strategies to navigate difficult situations. Our partnership will focus on enhancing your ability to regulate emotions and build resilience.
